oxford / Fellowship, community, fun
The Oxford route is a bit like our journey with God – it may not be the most direct, but we get there together in the end! Each year the group is reformed with new people joining those who have walked before – and there is always a great mix of ages, as we embrace Christian & non-Christian traditions which encourage us all to receive, to give and to grow as a group. We are very fortunate to be accompanied by a Jesuit priest as our Chaplain, who is at hand to answer any questions and to help guide us on our own spiritual journey.

The Oxford route is a bit like our journey with God – it may not be the most direct, but we get there together in the end! We walk 104 miles in total (we do have a support car & luggage) along roads, tracks and country lanes, carrying our Cross and building fellowship and community as we go: you will very quickly feel included, accepted and supported.
Each year the group is reformed with new people joining those who have walked before – and there is always a great mix of ages, as we embrace Christian & non-Christian traditions which encourage us all to receive, to give and to grow as a group. On the road we sing, talk, pray; we walk through some of the most beautiful Oxfordshire & Norfolk villages and are welcomed warmly by the numerous communities with tea and cakes and a welcome rest, not forgetting the beauty of the Anglican and Catholic Cathedrals in the city of Norwich.
We are very fortunate to be accompanied by a Jesuit priest as our Chaplain, who is at hand to answer any questions and to help guide us on our own spiritual journey. Each day, in between the chatting and singing there is time for silent reflection as we walk through beautiful countryside; we listen to reflections from different voices within the group; and, for those who wish to join us, there is morning & evening prayer or mass. All of this helps to remind us that we are taking part in a journey to one of the most ancient places of pilgrimage in England.
We look forward to meeting you!
